Thank you for 20 years of my passion. My dream! Doing wedding hair and makeup in Lake Tahoe started for me in 2004. My very first salon called The new wave was where my love of bridal hair began. A young stylist, I admired the owner Ann so much and would watch her in awe. She handled each person in the bridal party quickly, professional and with a beautiful outcome. Fast forward to me purchasing a salon 5 years later. A little tiny salon in town right next to the Mexican meat market from Laura who owned Faze. Laura was one of my friends mom who I did bridal hair and makeup with named Rachel. I For years people called us the dream team. She did the makeup and I did the hair. Those of you who have had me do your hair, know that I am obsessed with wedding hair! We were in magazines, we were fast, professional and good at what we did. Some of the best years of my life. I was really proud of us! I went on to expand my tiny salon and knock down the wall, and then we moved over to the crossing and built a new larger dream salon. Rachel had already long started her business Sublime beauty and fazed out of weddings to be with her growing business and family.

The wedding inquiries grew and grew and I expanded into a wedding hair and makeup business and over the next decade we serviced thousands of weddings, in 2022 alone after some of the worst covid impacted years and a huge fire, we had 237 weddings. We had grown enough for me to have a wedding assistant first Mandy, and then Kylee. (saved my life) I was able to step back so I could do what I did best which was wedding hair. At this point I was doing cuts and colors, bridal hair and running a salon, hiring help was seriously amazing, the whole office side of beauty is not my strong side, I am an artist for sure! In 2021 we had the opportunity to start a business at Edgewood Tahoe. I started Rah beauty Bar, my second most beautiful salon located inside Edgewood Tahoe. The absolute most beautiful venue on the lake in Lake Tahoe HANDS DOWN, Pinch me am I dreaming!!! This journey has been incredible but has ended in Tahoe for me. I have been long distance with my husband for 10 years! His career was always in southern California, and mine Tahoe so we have been doing this for a decade! I was born in Lake Tahoe and literally never left so I was VERY excited to move! I did not sell the wedding business so while we do have some weddings in 2025, they have been passed to my incredible team who was with me for these amazing years. You are in good hands.
